Introduction

Cardiac First Response – Instructor Training Course is designed to enable participants to deliver Cardiac First Response- Community or Advanced training.

A pre requisite for entry onto a CFR-Instructor course is that an individual has certified at provider level within the last 12 months. The level of certification will determine the level at which they may apply for instructor training.

Course Duration

The duration of CFR Instructor standard is approximately 2 days with three monitoring sessions (typically).

Certification

Award of joint PHECC/RECFIRSTAID LTD Cardiac First Response Instructor cards/certificates to successful participants is mandatory.

Certification lapses after 2 years. 

Assessment

Learners will be continually assessed throughout the course and on the (mandatory) experiencial elements. There is a practical skills formative assessment as per PHECC assessment sheets on this course.
